Class Policies

Class Cancellations: HCP reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment or administrative constraints. In the event of a class being canceled, notifications will be sent out to students 1-3 days before the class's scheduled start date. Students will be offered the choice of transferring to another class or receiving a full refund without any processing fee charges.

Schedule Changes: Within a course timeline, classes might be rescheduled on rare occasions at the instructor’s discretion. In such instances, a make-up class will be scheduled during or at the end of the course.

Absences: Students must make every effort to attend classes as scheduled. HCP does not offer refunds for missed classes nor the option to complete classes in future courses. Students should contact their instructors to receive any available recordings and/or other relevant educational materials.

Class Recordings: By attending online courses at HCP, students consent to classes being recorded. HCP encourages instructors to record online courses allowing students to complete missed classes or review important parts of their courses. However, some instructors may choose not to record their courses due to various concerns including students’ privacy and copyright issues. Students enrolling in online courses should check with their instructor if classes will be recorded and plan accordingly. HCP does not offer refunds for missed online classes that were not recorded. Class recordings are kept for a period of 2-3 weeks after which they are deleted. HCP can not be held responsible in the event that a recording was deleted 3-weeks (or more) after a class took place.

Refund Policy

Withdrawals: Withdrawal requests must be received at education@hcponline.org no less than 5 business days before the first scheduled session for any courses, workshops, or masterclasses (“programs”). Students may request to transfer to another program or cancel their registration and receive a full tuition refund minus a $45 processing fee.

Transfers: Students may request to transfer to another scheduled course, workshop, or masterclass at least 24 hours before the start date of the class they are registered for. Students enrolled in courses longer than 2 weeks may request a course transfer up to 1 day after their first class. Requests must be made in writing to education@hcponline.org. HCP will try to accommodate students’ requests based on availability. All transfers are subject to a $25 processing fee plus the tuition difference between the programs.

Refunds: Transfers or refunds cannot be granted for class absences (“no shows”) or if withdrawal requests to cancel registrations are received less than 5 business days prior to the program’s start date. HCP does not offer credits toward future registrations. Approved refunds take 4-6 weeks to process.

The Director of Education or Executive Director can make exceptions to the above policy in the instance of a verified emergency.
