Field Lesson at HCP

$300.00

Bring your K–12 students to HCP for an immersive photography field lesson.

During their visit, students will:

  • Experience the Flash Drive, a vintage ambulance transformed into a Camera Obscura, to learn how light travels through a small opening to project an upside-down image, helping students understand the science behind how cameras work.

  • Tour our exhibitions to explore how contemporary photographers address real-world themes through visual storytelling.

  • Participate in a hands-on cyanotype sunprinting workshop that connects science, art, and history.

Through this program, students gain an understanding of photography’s history, develop visual literacy skills, and see how the medium can be a powerful tool for self-expression, creative exploration, and future careers in the arts.
