We will delve into the exciting possibilities offered by AI-powered platforms, such as Midjourney and Firefly, as well as explore Adobe Photoshop's Generative Fill tool. Through practical demonstrations and guided exercises, you will learn how to leverage these tools to create captivating images, generate fresh ideas, and infuse your work with a distinctive artistic vision. Participants will be encouraged to experiment with AI tools and engage in critical discussions on the theoretical implications of AI in the creative realm.

Objectives:

  • Examine the impact of AI on the art world and photographic industry, the opportunities it presents, and the evolving definition of authorship

  • Harness the power of Midjourney and Firefly to transform and enhance images with ease

Course Prep: 

Students must bring their smartphone or internet-capable laptop (laptop computer preferable). Please be sure to install Discord (a program for Midjourney) and Adobe CC (for access to Firefly and Generative Fill) on your device before arriving in class.
