Photobooks are experiencing a golden era as they get increasingly popular and are being celebrated around the world, despite the dominance of digital images in our daily lives. Publishing a book validates the photographer’s work, contributes to it, and preserves it for the future. Publishing a book of their work is many photographers’ desired goal, yet the path to achieving it often feels like a mystery.

Let’s face it - the journey toward publishing a book can be long, yet it is not one you have to embark on by yourself. Led by experienced publishing professional Alexa Becker, this course offers photographers the opportunity to gain an insider’s perspective into the contemporary world of book publishing and explore the potential of transforming their projects into a book format. See your work in a new light with Alexa’s guidance, formulate its goals, profoundly develop your series, and consider the best choices for getting it published.

  • Synthesize the goal and motivation of your photographic work

  • Learn how to phrase the essence of your project

  • Discover the potential of your photography

  • Edit and sequence your work in a compelling way

  • Identify audiences for your project / future book

  • Gain valuable knowledge about photography book publishing

  • Understand how to submit your project for the consideration of book publishers including important Do’s & Don’ts
