Collage is one of the easiest, most accessible, readily available art forms in the world today, next to drawing. From moodboarding and scrapbooking to collaging posters on a bedroom wall, a lot of us have literally grown up with collage. No other medium can you learn and perform at a high level from a single workshop. So, why do so many people find it so difficult and intimidating? In this workshop, instructor and artist Tay Butler demystifies the medium of collage by stripping away the conceptual layers and focusing on the "how to", showcasing multiple methods and materials to make the paper stick. Which papers and glues work well together? How to cut perfect forms? Which magazines to use? This workshop answers all these questions and more giving away the practical secrets to collage-making used by Tay Butler to construct the works he is most known for.
